The Butterfly Carving in 3Ds Max

This is a tie back for draperies. This is my latest creation, modeled in 3Ds Max and rendered in Vray. When you know already the power of polygon modeling everything can be modeled as far as hard and soft surfaces are concerned.  But if we deal with fluid it should be particles not  polygon modeling anymore.  I am happy what I am doing, especially creating 3D models because this is the only way I can mimic the real one.

I have a good reference on this one so I try to make accurate detail as possible. Nothing could be difficult if you could already picture out the outcome of the model in your mind.
